Exercises that you will actually want to do
Happy New Year from us all at the Claudia Louch Natural Skin Clinic! With a new year often comes resolutions to better yourself in some way, of which can often involve the resolve to exercise more.
Unfortunately exercise isn?t always fun and so it is all too easy to fall out of the routine once the novelty has worn off. To help keep you on track with a regular exercise routine, here?s our round up of exercises which will keep you fighting fit while having fun at the same time ? good luck!
For those of you who break out in a sweat at the thought of breaking out in a sweat (!), Pilates is the answer. Pilates tones and strengthens the body with a particular focus on core strength, rather than requiring any fast-paced cardio exercise. Yet Pilates can bring about fast results and is also stress-relieving and therefore very good for the mind as well as the body, making it a popular exercise choice.
For those of you who like to get your heart rate pumping but get bored by the monotony of gym equipment or running, Zumba classes are fast, frenetic and fun and great for getting your friends to join in with, too. Combining dance and aerobic moves with ultra-easy hip-hop, salsa, samba and merengue choreography, you will laugh your way through the class and will see results ? fast.
If the thought of anyone seeing you exercise puts you off even putting your trainers on, YouTube videos could be the answer for you. There are thousands upon thousands of free fitness routines on YouTube, covering every type of exercise possible. Just do a search on YouTube and find the right one to suit you. It also has the advantage of being pretty excuse-proof ? after all, you don?t even need to leave your house!
If you like to be in the great outdoors, cycling is a great way to burn calories, get some fresh air in your lungs and get closer to nature. Check out cycle routes in your area to find the most suitable terrains for your ability.
