Eyes wide open
Big, clear eyes look awake, alert and naturally beautiful and no matter what your eye shape, there are many ways to make the most of your peepers. Here are our top tips:
Dark under-eye circles can make your eyes look smaller, while an even skin tone can help open up your eyes. Use a colour corrector and/or a concealer, making sure you apply around the entire eye area, including the upper lids (which can often be red-tinged) and inner corners (which can often be blue-tinged), rather than just under the eyes.
Dark eyeshadow and eyeliner can make eyes appear smaller, so stick to a pale neutral shade of eyeshadow to subtly enhance the eyes.
Eyelash curlers are a great way to lift and curl your lashes up and away from the eyes. Squeeze them at the base of the lashes and hold for a few seconds, then move the curlers further up towards the top of the lashes and repeat.
Once you have curled your lashes, mascara will help further enhance them by lengthening, thickening and lifting the lashes. Choose one that does these things while still retaining a natural look, such as the Claudia Louch Natural Skin Clinic Intense Lash Mascara, to stop your lashes looking fake.
