Natural oils are a godsend for the skin, as they contain an abundance of natural fatty acids that work to strengthen and repair the skin?s structure while providing rich hydration.

Natural oils can be used on all skin types, even oily skin. This is because oily skin needs enough sebum to provide a protective layer over the skin, so if this is stripped away, the skin will over-correct the problem by producing more sebum. Therefore, by using natural oils on the skin it helps to balance natural oil production within the skin.

We take a closer look at some of the best natural oils used in skincare:

Jojoba oil
Jojoba oil acts as an anti-inflammatory and helps to dissolve excess sebum that can clog pores and cause skin breakouts, making it ideal for treating oily or combination skin. It is the star ingredient in the Claudia Louch Natural Skin Clinic Jojoba Day Moisturiser and can also be found in the Claudia Louch Natural Skin Clinic Face Cream with Deep Line Complex.

Avocado oil
Avocado oil aids collagen production in the skin, helping to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles. It is also an intensive moisturiser, helping to target dry, flaky skin and improving overall skin tone. We?ve used it within all of the Claudia Louch Natural Skin Clinic moisturisers; Jojoba Day Moisturiser, Face Cream with Deep Line Complex and Hydrating Mango Face Cream.

Grape seed oil
Grape seed oil has fantastic anti-ageing properties, helping to tighten, tone, hydrate and soothe the skin while providing antioxidants to fight against ageing free radical damage. We?ve used it within all our Claudia Louch Natural Skin Clinic moisturisers and it is the key active ingredient in the Claudia Louch Natural Skin Clinic Face Cream with Deep Line Complex.

Olive oil
Rich in vitamin E, olive oil helps to hydrate skin and make it more supple and can also calm irritation, discomfort and inflammation. Olive oil can be found in the Claudia Louch Natural Skin Clinic Hydrating Mango Face Cream.

Almond oil
Ideal for use in skincare as it is such a light oil, almond oil is a fantastic skin moisturiser that leaves no behind no greasy residue, which is why we used it in the Claudia Louch Natural Skin Clinic Hydrating Mango Face Cream. Almond oil is also packed with antioxidants and vitamin E, which provides protection for the skin.
