As we emerge from winter into the warmer, brighter months of spring, not only can we unwrap ourselves from our winter woollies but so too can we re-assess our skincare routines.

Exfoliation
Dry, flaky skin that may have been apparent during winter should be shed to reveal a brighter, smoother complexion for the best starting base for your skincare. Claudia Louch has just launched the Claudia Louch Natural Skin Clinic Mint Exfoliating Facial Polish, which is perfect for spring to smooth and cleanse the skin without drying it out.

Moisturiser
The intensive moisturiser that you may have needed to use during winter when the cold was sapping the hydration from your skin could now be too heavy for your needs.

Examine your skin in the mirror; is it flaky and parched? Or is your skin fairly smooth and hydrated? If your skin is less dry than it was during winter then now is the time to switch to a lighter moisturiser. If your skin still requires extra hydration you can still use a richer night moisturiser while you sleep.

Decolletage
Don?t forget to moisturise the d?colletage area too – while this area may have been hidden under jumpers and polo necks during winter, it is more likely to be exposed during spring so make sure the skin looks healthy and hydrated.
